According to IMD data, Saurashtra and Kutch regions received 799 mm rainfall between June 1 and August 29 this year, against the normal 430.6 mm rainfall during the same period. During this period, 86 per cent more than normal rainfall occurred. The IMD said it is likely to move towards the coast of north Andhra Pradesh and adjoining south Odisha and intensify into a depression over west-central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal by Sunday.
